Whether it’s helping a tradeswoman fight sexual harassment on a construction job site, helping a child get the special education services she deserves or helping a first-time home buyer achieve his dream of homeownership; I’m an advocate at heart. My writing is colored by my belief in equal access - that real estate ownership should be more broadly available to working people who aren’t rich or upper middle class. It’s also influenced by my love of cheesy, irreverent, myspacey pop culture. I’m from Detroit but my adopted home is Oakland. I’m here to give an East Bay perspective for those SFers who never cross the Bay Bridge and the East Bay people who are looking for some representation in the big world of SF real estate blogs. You can read more of my East Bay perspective at: apieceofthepie.com.
