We love maps, especially current, interactive maps. San Francisco Crimespotting is one of those maps that we can’t stop playing with. Go ‘head, see where the bad guys have been hanging out.
San Francisco Crimespotting is an interactive map of crimes in San Francisco, California, and a better way of understanding crime in cities.

Ya’ll seem to love the murder maps that SF Gate put together over a year ago because we continue to get large amounts of traffic to our old Murder Maps Revisited post. The good folks that put the first maps together are at it again with 2009 updates and a few additional filters. Be safe…

The folks over at Thrillist brought this new map to our attention–we know how much you guys like maps. This particular mash-up is a complaint box gone 2.0. First you find your neighborhood, then you make a tab to complain about something like graffiti, potholes, dangerous intersections, broken lights, etc. Have at it!

Our friend Anna made a comment on the Tennis Map post hoping that the Schtuffers could help her find a few additional handy-dandy maps.
helpful (for me) would be a dog friendly map, as in where you can off leash or which bars allow your puppy a small beer under the table while you drink your large version. also a playground map. or a dive bar map!
Hopefully somebody will chime in and share their map secrets, but in the meantime, Anna, here are two maps that we have not shared that you may enjoy:

We’ve been on map kick lately sharing the murder maps, the fire maps and now the tennis maps. Don’t be shy, if you enjoy a good map that others should know about, please let us know!
TennisMaps helps out your inner Richie Tenenbaum by locating courts in your neighborhood via Goolge Maps. You can find courts with lights, managed facilities or private clubs. Best of all, you can add your comments and reviews of court locations.

Since so many enjoyed looking at and playing with the Murder Maps, we thought that you would get a kick out of this Google Map mash-up as well; a map of significant, active fires in California, courtesy of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.
