Harry and Pepper, the SF Zoo’s same-sex couple have raised a strong, healthy boy and have been living happily together for years. They became friends early in life, but sparks flew once puberty hit. Now that the boy has grown, Harry seems to be experimenting with females!

Things were great with Harry and Pepper according to the SF Examiner:
Harry would gather grass and bring it home to Pepper, who would arrange it tidily in their burrow. Single females would come around, but both birds never seemed interested.
Time went on and Linda, a friend of Harry and Pepper left her mate to start hanging out with a recently single, Fig. While with Fig, Linda and Harry became friendly and
One day, Harry and Linda approached Pepper’s pen and confronted Pepper. Harry began attacking Pepper violently and the three ultimately had to be separated. Harry and Linda successfully nested this year and eventually Pepper was returned to the penguin exhibit from a bachelor pad at the Avian Conservation Center, where he quietly took up his old residence. Zookeepers and fans are waiting with bated breath to see what might happen next.

For all you Twitter-Heads, we recommend following Emergency_In_SF. This service is not affiliated with the city or county of San Francisco, but they often tweet about emergencies in sF well before the major news outlets. The latest update, at 6:00pm on 2/17 informs us that there was a raw sewage spill in Sausalito that may wash ashore in sF. Stinky.

Dust off that old Santa suit and get ready to get your yule tide on! Every December for over a decade, Cacophonic Santa’s have terrorized conventional wisdom by staging events covering the globe. From Portland, Oregon to the Ukraine, St. Nicks have traveled far and wide for this ritual of intoxication and most importantly–giving. The 2008 SF Santacon will take place on December 13, 2008, but no further details are yet available, due to the secret, rave-like nature of this event, so stay tuned for schedules and meeting spots.
Bring:
- toys
- mistletoe
- beer money
- drinking vessel
- lube (the reindeer can get freaky if you know what I mean)
- comfortable shoes
- musical instrument or noisemaker
- healthy set of pipes because there’ll be some caroling out in those streets!
Rules:
- Don’t f*ck with kids. The holidays are hard enough on the little bastards.
- Don’t f*ck with the police. They might f*ck with you.
- Don’t f*ck with security. They will call the police (see rule #2)
- Don’t f*ck with Santa. He will ABSOLUTELY f*ck with you.
Enjoy the festive, friendly confines of Thanksgiving. This Christmas will bring a Santa Invasion. Nothing can stop the red tide!

By Coach A:
Put this in the “Reason’s why we hate Realtors” box. 958 Carolina St, a 2500 square foot, 4 bed, 2.5 bath single family house in Potrero Hill came on the market on September 10th for $1,795,000. A steep price in my opinion but in this market, it’s probably best to allow the property ample time on the market before making any wild adjustments in price–OR–you can change the price every time a stiff breeze rolls through the Bay Area.
Property History:
- 09/10: New on the market for $1,795,00
- 09/18: Lowered to $1,760,000 ($35K reduction in 8 days-little quick in my opinion)
- 09/20: Lowered to $1,698,000 (really? 48 hours after a reduction, another reduction?)
- 09/21 6pm: Lowered to $1,600,000 (hmmm – did ya give the $62K reduction a full day?)
- 09/21 8pm: Raised to $1,680,000 (guess the interest @ $1.6m was GREAT for 2 hours)
- 09/22: Lowered to $1,678,000 (ahh yes, the effective $2K reduction!)
- 09/25: Lowered to $1,650,000
- 09/29 12:51pm: Lowered to $1,495,000 (ok – now we’re getting closer to the realistic value of this home – 300K below where we started)
- 09/29 12:53: Raised to $1,650,000 (a 2 minute price reduction – DAMN – I missed my chance)
Seriously – what the FU*K is this agent thinking? If it’s done to get the listing popping up on our database which does occur when the price is lowered and raised, well that’s just pathetic. I can think of a few better marketing ideas–shit, Cooper (3.5 years old) can come up with a better strategy! Here’s an idea–why don’t you price the property appropriately – let’s say $1.4m (and that’s PUSHING it) and leave it the hell alone for 3-4 weeks.
Imagine going out to eat with this agent- “I’d like the garden salad and lasagna, no wait, make that the minestrone soup and the burger,
