Anna Marie Hibble, like many an optimistic Bay Area renter, refuses to recognize that her dream of actual home ownership in San Francisco is only slightly less implausible than being able to make a strapless bra stay in place. She is always in search of the affordable first time buyer opportunity, stumbling over many an overpriced, underwhelming offering- or worse, the perfect gem priced exactly as it should be. She can’t afford either. Yet she never gives up, for somewhere that little place she can call here own is out there, and she can replace her frustrating days of paying rent with the far more satisfying experience of paying a mortgage. And she won’t have to apologize for having a dog!

When not pounding the pavement on open house Sundays, Anna teaches writing at San Francisco State and Skyline colleges. She decompresses with the help of yoga, loud rock shows, and dive bars.
