According to Yelp, lush’s loved hitting the Gspot Bar for a drink, small plates and good times. The doors have been closed for some time now and thirsty hipsters want to know what is coming next. According to Thrillist, a new, 60’s inspired swanky lounge sportin’ the same name, Swank, is movin’ in.

I was impressed with the decor and vibe. Upscale, but still filled with a young crowd. I ordered a glass of Riesling, it was crisp and delicious, the pour was very healthy and the bartender was beyond friendly. I also noticed that the patrons were attractive and it wasn’t too loud-even though it was packed. All this coupled together made for a great atmosphere and I’m sure it would make a great post-dinner date spot. After two glasses of Riesling, you would have thought I had 4 glasses of Cab! Thanks for the heavy pours!
Schtuff: Built in 1928, 12 unit, 12 story Co-Op at the top of Russian Hill. Do the math–1 unit per floor with an elevator entrance to your unit. Very elegant doorman building and it’s a Co-Op, so you’ll need to be approved by the board before purchasing and rest assured that’s no easy task. Let’s just assume they let ya buy the place – man are you getting views!!!! Some of the best panoramic views I’ve seen! Views from almost every one of the 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. Very elegant unit and a decent brunch spread too. Listed by: TRI Coldwell Banker, Bill Hughes
Schtuff: 6800 SQ FT Pacific Heights mansion. Built in 1915 for a mining baron and extensively remodeled. The main home is incredible – tons of views, large stately rooms and is across the street from the Getty family house – very impressive home with great Bay and GG Bridge views. My favorite element is the “apartment” on the lowest level. The master bath with shower and sauna is incredible – the flat screen located so I can watch stocks plummet while bathing — PRICELESS. Listed By: Urban Bay Properties, Adam Gavzer
Schtuff: 2 properties, 1 parcel, 13,000 SQ FT of living space. Union St. has 4 units. Pierce is a 7000+ SQ FT single family house. Tons of views – tons of “old world charm” – i guess it’s charming – it’s old that’s for sure and 1 very odd large room upstairs. I think its best use is for a beer pong tournament — picture 4 tables, 12 kegs and lots of fans. Built by the Raffetto family in the late 20’s it’s a piece of San Fran history – so says the 20 page statement that leaves no fact unturned. I’m not sure who buys this – not sure what they do with it – but the quiche was sick! (I’d buy both Green St properties with my $16 million before I snagged this project – think bout it – a mansion with an apartment and then 20 blocks east a PHAT party flat – awww yeah) Listed By: Pacific Union/GMAC Real Estate, Mary Toboni
You don’t see it too often, but every once in a while even the upper-crust in Pacific Heights get behind in their mortgage payments. 2510 Jackson Street is a $13,495,000 house that is bank owned, that’s right ya’ll, a fancy-pants foreclosure.

The San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA) has a mission is to provide for nearly 12,000 public housing residents and 21,000 Section 8 participants. A primary goal of the Authority is to continue to provide housing for these low-income households, while integrating housing and economic opportunities for residents and maintaining high standards of property management, fiscal management and service delivery. The SFHA owns several properties through San Francisco and is currently selling four of them, including a couple of very interesting opportunities (like 2 units in Bernal Heights for under $500K and a 7 unit development opportunity in Pacific Heights).
Last October we introduced you to The Tubbs Mansion. It’s an historic piece of San Francisco that went up for sale for a mere $19,750,000. Can you really put a price tag on owning history? The home recently closed escrow (6/6/08–sorry for the delay) for $18,000,000 after sitting on the market for 180 days. The listing agents were also the selling agents.
