Reader Poll: Have We Hit Bottom Yet?

Last week we decided to start polling our readers because we rarely get feedback in any other fashion (you are all so quiet!).  Likely, we will publish two polls a week, one of ours and one of yours. That’s right, each week, one lucky winner will get thier very own, custom poll published.  To submit your poll question and answers you can click here or email us here.

Today’s poll is brought to us by reader SFSUG. He/she wants to know if we have hit the bottom of the recession yet.  What do you think?

A Reader Supports Home Depot

Below, an e-note from a beloved reader that seems to be sad that The Home Depot decided not to move into the old Goodman Lumber yard On Bayshore Blvd (and mad about the floor store across the street).  Spelling errors are intact for affect and SF Schtuff does not necessarily share the views nor can guarantee the accuracy of of our readers opinions or commentary.  All of the Newcomb neighbors are off the hook too ;)

Regarding the Home Depot moving into the Goodman lot editorial, I live in the neighborhood, and have repeatedly tried to go into Floorcraft (directly across from the old Goodman lot) and continously get ignored or rude service.  Though they are attempting to be family owned and all that, my son worked in a Home Depot in another state and it was very good to him with great benefits and advancement.  Also, I have heard that the “family” values of Floorcraft” are not that “family” in the first place.  Rumor is that the owner has been inappropriate with many women employees. I had a friend who worked there years ago who told me this, and that employees were fired wrongly. I do not think The Home Depot is known for thess things, not in my own experience, anyway, so myself and all my neighbors down near Newcomb are all for it.

New Years Day in the Bay

sfgen1.jpg

From a doctor reader that wanted to share his new years day in the bay…

It’s hard to look at death sometimes

Today was rougher than usual, 7am new years day blows. Hungover, tired, and grumpy, I wasn’t feelin’ the healin’ today. Instead of the usual wake everyone up, look for obvious signs of some sh*t going wrong, 10-30 seconds of chitchat and an exit, I let everyone sleep. I went back and talked to everyone when they were up, except for one.
