260-262 Bocana–Nation for Sale

A little over a year ago, we walked passed a home that, quite frankly, freaked us out a little bit.

landpatentWe walked by today and heard loud Ranchera music reverberating out the windows. We’ve been curious about this house since we originally read the note in the window which explains that the property is a sovereign nation and is not subject to any United States laws. Most concerning to us was the statement regarding trespassing which is defined by crossing the front gate (national border), and by doing such, one is constituting an act of war and may be shot upon entering.

Though this house has been on the market for 265 days, it was recently reduced to $629K.  Imagine that, you can buy yourself a sovereign nation for under a million bux!  Interesting…

LOL – I’ve wondered about that place myself. That nation has some serious infrastructure issues though…

infrastructure like good schools and law enforcement or infrastructure like foundations and roofs? ;-)

Is the unit with the sign in it rented or owner occupied? If its the former, you would have to pay me 629k to become the landlord of those folks.

I don’t think they recognize the ellis act in Bocana either.
