the drawings on the architects site makes the siding look blue. i’m thinking they changed the materials because nobody seemed to like what it looked like. the plugged in folks at Socketsite were pretty open about it: http://www.socketsite.com/archives/2008/05/a_reader_wonders_we_respond_the_designs_for_131527_7th.html

You can’t think of it as shiny copper but wait 6 months to a year and it will turn a beautiful oxidized brown and then over the next 20-30 years will gain that patina of age and go slightly green. It’s a facade that’s made to age rather than have to be repainted (well at least the copper parts) every 10 years. The architect / builder should be applauded for at least trying something new and also being stung by the obsecne copper prices during the development and now unfortunately the low condo sales prices at the end.

Hi Everyone…
The building is starting to take shape, but still looks along way off.
Copper is really beautiful, especially when it ages abit and developes a greenish cast. I’ve never seen it used quite this way, as siding almost….The closest I’ve been to copper is on a roof( which I loved) and a few pennies that are in hiding !! LOL

So many parking spaces incorporated. I guess they’re handing ‘em out to the cottages and retailer.

@ Pritchard:
you’re probably right. 8 condo’s, 2 cottages and commercial space—sounds like everybody gets a parking spot!
