The West Coast’s most prominent and emerging interior and landscape designers will converge on 2830 Pacific Avenue to transform the stately four-story Georgian mansion into the 2009 San Francisco Decorator Showcase – California’s premiere design showhouse. Now in its 32nd year, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase will run from April 25 through Memorial Day, May 25, 2009.
The elegant and formal Georgian mansion at 2830 Pacific Ave. was originally designed and built in 1910 by San Francisco architect Nathaniel Blaisdell. The four-story mansion sits on one of the largest lots on the 2800 block of Pacific between Divisadero and Broderick, adjacent to Raycliff Terrace. The main level’s spacious public areas include an elegant parlour, living room, large family kitchen and a formal dining room leading out to a landscaped garden terrace. The second level includes five bedrooms and a formal library. The penthouse level features a stunning wrap-around terrace with panoramic Bay views.
The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is the West Coast’s premiere design showhouse event, featuring the work of the region’s top designers. The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is a benefit for San Francisco University High School’s financial aid program. Over the past 32 years, Showcase has raised more than $10 million and benefited hundreds of Bay Area students.

Loved the penthouse room on the top floor. The color scheme created the suble and soothing ambiance and the spectacular view from the large glass windows is gorgeous. The designer has done a fabulous job there.
Robert, I TOTALLY agree with you, the Penthouse is by far the most appealing room in the house. Of all the rooms, Heather Hilliard’s design was classic and uncomplicated but it definitively stands out. The way she worked that room – which you can tell was a later addition to the house – with a palette that not only works woderfully but it is also complimented by Golden Gate bridge views…ahh, loved it!

Wow, you guys are right… Just checked the house today and the penthouse is such an amazing room. Between the view and Mrs Hilliard’s aesthetic, I was blown away! I could just live in that room with no problem.
