It’s worth it to walk into this spooky Tarzan bar just to sit and stare at the fascinating décor. I Stumbled upon this restaurant/bar on a Saturday night and found it a delightful spot for a romantic drink.
There is a strong jungle theme throughout, including monkeys painted on the walls and large hanging wrought iron gate/window-like art pieces. I kid you not-there was a DJ spinning jungle house–I felt as if all the elements of this tantalizing bar were coming together very nicely. Dimly lit, it was not crowded and had it not been for the music, it would have been easy to hold a conversation with someone across the table-not typical for a bar on a weekend night. The drinks were, alas, nothing to be thrilled about. We had the “Bowl of Monkeys” beverage which could be shared by 4-6 people and was great eye-candy, but failed the taste test. Boasting a variety of island liquors and sitting in a fabulous tropical (gigantic) bowl, it was definitely a fun item to order and take pictures with (you get a free Polaroid, which I thought was a really cute touch). It is also one of those bars where the bathroom architecture and style fascinates you to no end and makes you want to linger a little longer while washing your hands. I am returning for more of the dark ambiance and to try their famed dishes.

Back in the day when ships were made of wood and men were made of steel, this used to be called the Lilo Lounge. It still retains the same cool vibe - although the place can be PACKED on weekend nights and often hosts private parties.
My wife and our friends always enjoyed the Scorpion Bowl - 1 Scorpion Bowl - good times. 2 Scorpion Bowls - well — if you are with your significant other - you go home and get after it - or you go home and fight - the 2nd bowl will do it to ya!
