Tuesday’s offer Realtors an action packed day. Nearly all the active listings in the city are open for Tuesday Broker’s Tour. The Tour starts in District 8 at 9:00am and runs through District 10 ending at 4pm. It’s not uncommon to preview 20+ houses on any given Tuesday. In my new weekly installment, Schtuff I Saw On Tuesday, I’m going to share with you the best, worst and oddest of each Tuesday.

Tuesday July 1st

Typically you don’t get much new inventory on the market prior to a holiday weekend and this Tuesday was no great exception. Given that, my trusty business partner and I decided to venture out to find the best food availabe on Broker’s Tour. Some agents choose to cater their 90 minute open house to entice agents to pop in — it works! With that in mind - the best Schtuff I saw/ate on Tuesday July 1st:

  • 2426 Greenwich: weak sauce breakfast - over priced real estate — wasn’t happy with the start - who wants a soggy dolma at 10:20?
  • 2881 Vallejo St: GREAT food - steak, salmon and veggie sando’s paired with mozzarella and tomato skewers at 10:40 - STEAK - come on now - add a coffee bar and this doesn’t get better. Too many stairs and levels for $5 million but a very cool house.
  • 3328 California St: Over hyped (the breakfast that is) - granted we showed up late - but a potato dish seemed alittle odd - but good - Garrett hypes some form of eggs were missed. The place - come on now - let’s clean the carpet if we’re asking $1.5 million for a standard condo.

  • 550 Valley St: odd location - again with the dolma’s - are dolma’s cheap? cool house - lots of money for a location without an amenity.
  • 1919 Page St: Best of the Day: Cole Valley elegance - if you can deal with the 28 steps to the flat - very nice remodel - elegance in the heart of haight/Ashbury - rather nice juxstaposition - great shared yard. No food, but nice place.
